Glasgow
This is St Mungo's Cathedral in Glasgow. Built in the 12th Century it originally served as the Mother Church of the Catholic Archdiocese of Glasgow before it became the Kirk of Glasgow after the reformation.
the building is a superb example of Scottish Gothic architecture. It is also one of the few Scottish medieval churches to have survived the Reformation not unroofed.
St Mungo, the patron saint of Glasgow, is buried in the lower crypt of the Cathedral.
The silhouettes were by chance! One of the most frustrating things about landscape photography,, especially in long exposures is people! Trying to frame and execute a shot with no one in it is really difficult. So instead of getting frustrated tonight I asked this couple if they would stand perfectly still looking at the cathedral to get their silhouettes and to give the image some interest and above all a sense of scale. I think it really works but would be great to get your feedback!
